I’m back this month sharing another stunning wedding at Coombe Lodge in Bristol, Somerset. The lovely Sally & Roger hosted such an intimate, special and romantic wedding. From the outdoor ceremony area to the wedding breakfast, every space was transformed into a floral wonderland leaving guests in awe throughout the day. The colour palette was simply a dream to work with! Even before our first chat Sally loved the ideas of purple hues paired with soft pinks and subtle soft creams.
Romantic Wedding Flowers at Coombe Lodge
The flowers used throughout this stunning wedding at Coombe Lodge included Memory Lane, Avalanche, Ocean Song, Early Grey rose, lisianthus, astilbe, delphiniums, larkspur, dahlias, veronica, sweet peas, spray roses, veronica, and clematis. All flowers were paired with eucalyptus and olive foliage.

Staircase Floral Design
As lots of guests were staying on-site at Coombe Lodge we wanted to give guests a little snippet into the wedding design. Guests walked down the gracious stairs to be greeted with delicate blooms elegantly displayed on the steps. Bright pops of purples and lilacs bursted through the foliage. The florals cascaded into meadow arrangements and were decorated with candle vases and lanterns. This helped to create a soft glow, creating a romantic atmosphere nestled within the foliage.
Outdoor Ceremony Wedding Flowers
Everyone hoped for glorious weather and the sunshine didn’t disappointment. The sun was shining and all was clear for the outdoor ceremony. As the weather can be somewhat unpredictable here in the U.K. especially in South West England, I always advise couples to have an emergency contingency plan!
Guests were greeted by elegant and beautiful urns decorated with lush floral arrangements. The flowers used created a romantic and ethereal ambiance. The floral arrangements framed the couple as they said “I Do”, creating a picture-perfect backdrop.
Wedding Breakfast Flowers
These luscious florals were later repurposed for the wedding breakfast and placed behind the couple. By reusing florals it helps to create a cohesive design throughout the wedding celebration and maximises the wedding budget even further! The stunning reception room was decorated with round tables with low glass footed bowls with different shades of blush pinks, creams, and darker hues of purple. Also, small tea-lights and votives adorned the tablescape design further adding to the romantic ambience.
Delicate bud vases and bottles decorated the top table with layered eucalyptus foliage that created a stunning garland effect. The combination of vibrant blooms and delicate greenery added a pop of colour and natural elegance to the table design. A stunning floral meadow arrangement decorated the grand fireplace that soon became a focal point as many guests used this as a photo backdrop opportunity.
Everything about this wedding day at Coombe Lodge was utterly stunning! A celebration filled with beauty, love and happiness that will be cherished forever.
