The government roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions has finally given the wedding industry and engaged couples some hope. There’s light at the end of the tunnel, but weddings with 15 or 30 guests will be with us for a little while yet. The good news is a smaller celebration doesn’t have to be any less special.

Flowers for Micro Weddings in Bristol and Somerset

Your micro wedding deserves beautiful flowers too! I’ll be offering bridal bouquets, buttonholes and low vase table arrangements in three different colourways. This will be a collection only service available to order directly from my website. It’s a simple, stress-free way to purchase some key floral touches for your micro wedding. You choose the colour and I’ll choose the flowers!

Small Wedding, Big Impact

Of course, hosting a smaller wedding doesn’t mean you can’t go big on visual impact. If you’re keen to have more than just the basics, I would recommend a large-scale floral installation for your ceremony.

An archway, floral urns or an aisle lined with floral meadow arrangements will provide a beautiful backdrop for your vows. If your ceremony is taking place in a venue designed for larger celebrations, it will also allow you to create a smaller, more intimate space within a much bigger room. You’ll find lots of inspiration for large floral designs here.

You can also create visual impact with smaller arrangements clustered together. As they’re easy to relocate, they can be used multiple times in different areas throughout the day. For even more atmosphere and a luxury feel, I’d recommend incorporating lots of candles. I have a variety of vessels and candle holders available to rent.

Wed Now, Party Later

If you’re planning a larger celebration later this year or next, I would advise saving your preferred colour palette and doing something different for your micro wedding. You may also be celebrating at two completely different times of year, so embrace the flowers that are in season and keep some surprises for your future date.

Consider choosing flowers that add lots of fragrance. You could then replicate this scent at your larger celebration, connecting the two events and evoking memories from your smaller wedding. This could be done by using the same blooms or through scented candles and diffusers.
