Did someone say moon gate? I loved Leigh and Lewis’s brief, which mixed pale, pretty colours with impactful, artistic arrangements. The result gave us soft, romantic wedding flowers with wow factor. For the moon gate (large, circular arch) that served as a beautiful ceremony backdrop, roses and hydrangeas were the focal flowers in beautiful shades of creamy pale pink and lilac. To create a feeling of abundance, I made a wild aisle runner, with flowers of differing heights, including larkspur, sweet peas, veronica, stocks and flowering mint. It was as if a fragrant meadow had grown up along the edges
of the aisle!
Leigh and Lewis’s arrangements highlighted the versatility that wedding flowers can have. All the meadow arrangements from the ceremony were moved to the reception space and reused to decorate the fireplace and the top table. Being able to make your floral arrangements work hard for you on the day is something I encourage my couples to think about, and it was lovely to be able to make an atmospheric, romantic impact in two spaces with the same flowers.
