It’s no secret that I adore urn arrangements. The contrast of classical stonework with abundant and soft flowers never fails to make an impact. Sally and Roger’s outdoor wedding ceremony in the sunshine at Coombe Lodge used two huge urns to flank them as they said their vows, which were then moved behind the top table for the reception. (If you have a statement piece like this that can be moved, then I suggest making as much use of it as you can!).
For this lovely couple’s flowers, we wanted a sumptuous feeling of wildness. So I combined peonies, clematis, delicate sweet peas, scabious and an array of velvety roses with glossy verdant foliage. This beautiful selection of British flowers was used to create several arrangements inside the venue, including a tumbling staircase installation and a meadow along the top of the fireplace.
